Brock Pierce, the former child actor best known for playing the young Gordon Bombay in Mighty Ducks and The Mighty Ducks 2, has since played the role of entrepreneur, philanthropist, and a billionaire blockchain mogul. His latest role is now as a Presidential candidate where he is running as an independent in the 2020 campaign race. Pierce announced the news of his candidacy on July 4th, followed by an appearance on Fox Business where he fielded questions from Maria Bartiromo and Steve Forbes, Chair and Editor-In-Chief of Forbes Magazine.

Entrepreneur and former child actor Brock Pierce touted his presidential candidacy Wednesday, telling Fox Business Network’s “Mornings with Maria” that he and rapper Kanye West could unite behind a “powerful message” for Americans during the coronavirus pandemic.

“Hopefully, collectively, we can deliver a powerful message to the American people at a time where I think we need it. I mean, COVID-19 has brought us together around a shared issue in a way that I don’t think we’ve ever been brought together before. It’s great time to be delivering a different message, a message that will allow us to move forward.”

Crypto venture capitalist Brock Pierce said his presidential campaign would reach out to younger voters and technological innovators.

Crypto venture capitalist Brock Pierce has revealed his campaign to become the next U.S. president will focus on creating a country where technological innovation is allowed to flourish.

Pierce spoke at a Unitize conference fireside chat on July 7. He alluded to the fact that while he’s unlikely to win, the campaign will be a way to highlight the benefits of blockchain. A key theme will be building a better environment for innovators — particularly Millennials and those in Generation Z.
